Esboço para Design de uma Criatura / Sketch for a Creature Design

Esse personagem eu criei para um amigo modelador 3d (pra quem não sabe, modeladores são os caras que criam os modelos dos personagens e cenários que vemos nos filmes de animação 3d, como esculturas virtuais). Ele me pediu para desenhar uma criatura para a partir dela ele fazer um modelo bem detalhado.

This character I´ve created for a friend who´s a 3d modeler (for those who don´t know, modelers are the guys who create the characters and sceneries that we see in 3d animated films, like digital sculptures). He asked me to design a creature for him to use as the concept for a highly detailed model.

Esse vídeo é uma captura de tela de um ambiente interativo, como um jogo 3D (só que sem as missões, score etc). É um cenário que fiz para testar alguns scripts de interatividade, esses dias. Eu já tinha feito os modelos e texturas (só o modelo do barco de pesca que peguei na internet, num site de modelos grátis, e mexi na textura) para testes anteriores com programação de jogos.
O que fiz esses dias foi montar o cenário/level e programar o movimento do barco e as câmeras, sons e configurar o shader do mar.

This video is a screen capture of a virtual interactive environment, like a 3d game (but without the missions, score etc). It´s a level I´ve done to test some interaction scripts, these days. I´ve already done the models and textures (just the fishing boat model I´ve grabbed in the web, in a free models site, and tweaked the texture) for previous tests with game programming.
What I´ve done these days was to put together the level and program the ship movement and cameras, sounds and configure the sea shader.

Trata-se de demos (protótipos) de jogos que fiz há mais de um ano, enquanto estive aprendendo a programar jogos 3d para computador. São demos visuais com uma jogabilidade limitada, em geral feitos em um mês ou um pouco mais.

For those who didn´t notice, down there in the right menu, under the category "My Links" there are links for 2 image galleries and a download.
They´re game demos/prototypes that I´ve made about a year ago, while I was learning how to program 3d computer games. They´re visual demos with a limited gameplay, and where done in more or less one month each.

Foi feito enquanto trabalhávamos na Dínamo Digital, nos episódios do Kapo, um suco de caixinha da Coca-Cola.

Tommj sketched some characters. I liked them and the composition, then I´ve scanned it, inked over with more detail and stuff, put some color and ended up this way. These somewhat onirical characters. There´s also a fish hidden in this scene. Did you find it?

This mouse is a joke with Master Splinter, from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. For those who don´t know, sfincter is the muscle responsible for the contraction/"closing" of the anus. What a dirty joke!

And the Elegant Horse... Well... He´s just this. An elegant horse.

This could easily be a giant, a titan or something like. Or maybe just a computer technician or a programmer that used to go to the gym, but a long time ago, and now he always stop to bite something at a MacDonalds in the neighbourhood of his office.
